Bristol: The former Midland Railway section of Bristol Temple Meads station (closed to passengers in 1965) is to be further revitalised, with three shops to complement the current function room and offices. The old trackbed is used as a covered car park.
Buckfastleigh: The South Devon Railway is seeking to raise £3 million to improve the station, create a dedicated carriage overhaul and restoration building, improve its locomotive facilities with a public viewing facility, and realign the track in the yard.
Reading: The station subway has been closed since May 7 for a total reconstruction that will cost £400,000 and be completed before the end of August.
