Operator for first leg of East West Rail announced

Chiltern Railways has been confirmed as the operator of the first leg of East West Rail by the Rail Minister, Lord Hendy.

    Taken their time about this - the line has been finished for months and was originally promised for 2016! If you talk to East-West staff at their meetings and mention the DoT, their eyes cast up to Heaven.... Let us trust the service starts with the summer timetable in May....
