Merseyrail will run trains on parts of its network on Boxing Day. It will be the first time the train operating company has run trains on December 26, and is aimed at transporting people to and from post-Christmas sales.
Trains will run every 30 minutes and call at a selected number of stations on the network. They start running at 0900 and the last ones leave Liverpool city centre around 1830. All will be six-car formations.
