High Speed 1 (HS1) Chief Executive and author of the Shaw Report (RAIL 797) Nicola Shaw CBE will take over as Executive Director UK of National Grid in the third quarter of this year.
HS1 Chairman Rob Holden CBE said: “Nicola has proved to be a dedicated and inspiring leader, developing HS1’s position to become a central part of the UK’s transport infrastructure, respected for both trusted delivery and continual innovation. She has worked closely with our customers to continue to grow their services while striking new and innovative partnerships, maintaining enviable safety and performance records and retaining the position of St Pancras International as the nation’s favourite station. The board and I thank her for her work and extend to her our very best wishes for the future.”
