RDG explains ticket restrictions

National Rail Enquiries is to provide detailed information on ticket validity and restrictions, and how passengers can claim refunds and compensation.

In a major revision to the journey planning website, the validity of trains and routes is being added from this summer, while passengers will be able to type a simple summary of their ticket to get detailed information about other conditions that may apply.

Rail Delivery Group Managing Director of Customer Experience Jacqueline Starr said: “We’re making it quicker and easier for our customers to find out all they need to know about when and where they can use their tickets. We understand that sometimes it can be a bit confusing for passengers.”
