Northumberland Line timeline from closure to passenger services restarting

Northern 158850 stands at Ashington on December 12, with the special preview train ahead of the Northumberland Line reopening to passenger services. ANDY COMFORT.

On December 15, the first passenger service ran between Newcastle and Ashington since 1964.
