Explained: how station on Transpennine Route Upgrade will look after new platforms and line installed

Mirfield station ahead of construction of a new island platform. NETWORK RAIL.

The first half of Mirfield station’s new island platform will be constructed over the Easter weekend, as part of the Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU). The station will close from April 19-21 while the new Platform 1 is built opposite Platform 3.
