The first half of Mirfield station’s new island platform will be constructed over the Easter weekend, as part of the Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU). The station will close from April 19-21 while the new Platform 1 is built opposite Platform 3.

Work is progressing at an absolute snails pace. We won't see this complete till 2041. I'll be dead by then, so I'll never see the benefit.
