Network Rail increases transparency data

Among the latest categories of information published by Network Rail in November 2014 were vegetation management, carbon and energy use (all areas apart from Wales used less energy from April to October), health statistics, annual performance bonuses, a staff salary breakdown in £20,000 bands, and technology and innovation.

This release of information is ahead of April 2015 when it becomes subject to the Freedom of Information Act

The transparency portal at www.networkrail.co.uk/transparency/ also includes data on gifts and hospitality, station footfall, and the top ten delay-causing incidents attributable to Network Rail (a track circuit failure between London Charing Cross and London Bridge on October 8 caused 10,044 delay minutes).
