EU: ...or should we go?

Mick Whelan, general secretary of ASLEF explains why the executive committee is backing Brexit. Whelan writes: "At the heart of our objections are a couple of proposals emerging from Brussels which we think will be bad for Britain, in general, and bad for the railway, in particular - the European Commission's Fourth Railway Package and the Transatlantic Trade & Investment Partnership with the United States of America." Whelan says that the Fourth Railway Package 'would foist the British model of privatisation' on the rest of Europe.
