German Rail (DB) has established a subsidiary to encourage co-operation with technology start-up firms to aid the implementation of the country’s digital railway strategy.
DB Digital Ventures will be allocated 50 million Euros in venture capital over the next two years to achieve greater participation by external companies, but will also seek the support of the employees within DB known as ‘intrapraneurs’, whose ideas may benefit the business.
