Former Secretary of State for Transport Patrick McLoughlin seeks to reassure the transport sector that transport investment will continue.
He cites the work of Network Rail’s ‘Orange Army’, the rebuilding of key transport hubs such as Birmingham New Street and Manchester Victoria, and the economic boost that Crossrail will bring.
“Our economy is fundamentally strong, out infrastructure plan will be delivered, and business and government will pull together to achieve the best for Britain,” he writes.
