China adds 2,254km to rail network as nine new lines open
China has moved a step closer to completing its ambitious ‘Four Vertical and Four Horizontal’ national high-speed system following the opening of four new lines comprising 1,372km (852 miles) in December.
Five conventional lines totalling 1,182km also opened in the last week of December that are designed for 125mph operation.
