Analysts express concern over Virgin Trains East Coast’s failure to meet growth targets during its first year since taking over the franchise, believing it may affect VTEC’s longer-term prospects.
It is feared that “the reasons Stagecoach gave for missing targets meant it was possible the franchise could remain under pressure for some time”.
