Ben Jones is a freelance railway and travel writer, a former RAIL writer and editor of Model Rail magazine. As well as a long-standing follower of the contemporary UK rail scene, his travels across mainland Europe have left him with a deep interest in its railways, especially those in Germany, Switzerland and France.
