First DB Schenker Class 66 for sale

DB Schenker has put 66048 up for sale. The Class 66/0 is heavily damaged, having derailed and rolled down a bank after passing a signal at danger at Carrbridge on January 4 2010, and has been stripped of reusable components.

DB stored the Class 66 at Toton, where it remains today. It will be sold in ‘as seen’ condition and the successful bidder must move the locomotive at their own expense.

Registrations of interests should be emailed to Stella.Horrocks@dbschenker.com. Closing date for registrations is September 4 at 1200.
