Rail passengers will have the opportunity to travel from Oxford to Milton Keynes direct for the first time since the 1990s.
An excursion will travel along part of the East West Rail route on Saturday 16 November, running between Bletchley and Bicester.
The service is being run by Pathfinder Railtours and will use a pair of Class 33 locomotives.
When the line opens next year, trains will run every half hour, taking 45 minutes and stopping at Bletchley, Winslow, Bicester Village and Oxford Parkway.
