ScotRail has fitted power sockets to the first of 40 Class 334s, as part of a £36 million upgrade.
The three-car electric multiple units are being upgraded as part of a project that will end in 2017. Alstom is carrying out the work at Polmadie depot in Glasgow.
The work includes fitting free on-board WiFi, while improved heating and air-conditioning will be added during further refurbishments from next summer. This forms part of Eversholt Rail’s investment of £36.1 million to improve the passenger environment and reliability of the trains.

Well Abellio should lose the franchise in the East of England and to keep Scotland's railways reliable.

Was on this unit on Friday evening and impressed that they are providing a pair of 13A sockets for each group of 4 seats.
