Work on Stockley Flyover in west London is moving closer to completion, with the final concrete beam to support its second ramp fitted six weeks ahead of schedule.
The first section was finished in 2014, and has been used by Heathrow Connect trains. The new section will be used by Heathrow Express services to reduce conflicting movements on the Great Western Main Line into Paddington.
Network Rail installed 146 beams to support the second ramp, and more than 5,000 tonnes of pre-cast concrete has been installed since May during overnight engineering work.
