London Underground has confirmed today (November 24) that extension work on the Metropolitan Line will commence next year.
Two new stations will be built at Cassiobridge and Watford Vicarage Road, served by trains every ten minutes during peak hours. The line will also connect to the West Coast Main Line at Watford Junction station.
LU says the extension will help to improve connectivity between Watford and London, and encourage growth and regeneration in the Watford area.
London Underground engineers will be carrying out the construction work, which is expected to be completed in 2020.

Hopefully the Croxley Rail Link should be completed in 2018.
