For the first time in 50 years, regular passenger services will run on the Dartmoor Line from November 20, connecting Okehampton to Exeter.
It marks the first reopening under the Government’s Restoring Your Railway programme, which is exploring ways to return old lines and stations to service across the UK.
The route will connect Exeter St Davids, Crediton and Okehampton, with the aim of providing a tourist gateway to Dartmoor as well as offering regional links for local commuters. Around half of the services, including those at peak times, will also carry on to Exeter Central.

I guess that makes me old. I remember the month and year when regular services ended. A "bubble car" d.m.m.u. in the end, if I recall correctly. Good to see it's back.
