ScotRail is increasing the number of cycle spaces available on its trains.
All the operator’s trains now have the accommodation, and the number of spaces is to reach 1,506 by the end of August, with the fitting of extra spaces to the Inter7City High Speed Trains. That will be an increase of 574 spaces since 2015, a rise of 38%.
Last year, ScotRail introduced its ‘Highland Explorer’ on the West Highland Line, featuring a dedicated vehicle accommodating up to 20 cycles and bulky sports gear.
