‘Rails to Refuge’, which offers free travel for those escaping domestic abuse, is to continue.
The scheme was introduced in April 2020, initially for the period covering lockdown. Since then, more than 3,000 people have used it, and 65% of those questioned said they would not have travelled without it.
Tickets can be booked by various women’s groups across the country, as well as Men’s Advice Line.
