Night Tube services resumed on London Underground’s Jubilee Line on Friday and Saturday nights from May 20.
Having been suspended across the entire LU network since the start of the Coronavirus pandemic in March 2020, the return of Night Tube on the Jubilee Line follows their restoration on the Central and Victoria Lines in November 2021. Northern and Piccadilly Line Night Tube services will be the next to follow later this summer.
It comes as ridership on the Tube network has now reached as high as 80% of pre-pandemic levels at weekends. Transport for London said the move would provide a further boost to the capital’s economic recovery from COVID-19.

When it's fully operational, Night Tube runs on Friday and Saturday nights on the Victoria, Jubilee, and most of the Central, Northern and Piccadilly lines. The first Night Tube train ran on the night of Friday 19 August 2016, with the Central and Victoria line services starting that night [Before that date, London has never had an overnight underground service]. The Jubilee line services started on 7 October 2016, the Northern line on 18 November 2016 and the Piccadilly line on 16 December 2016. On 15 December 2017 the London Overground started the East London line night service running between Dalston Junction and New Cross Gate. This was extended to Highbury & Islington on 23 February 2018. The Night Tube cuts night-time journeys by an average of 20 minutes, with some cut by more than an hour.
