Businesses along the Birmingham-Shrewsbury route are being urged to complete a survey that could help decide whether new investment includes electrification.
Midlands Connect wants to build on last year’s Rails to Recovery report, which found that creating an hourly service and extending London services through Telford could create up to £500 million worth of benefits.
The survey closes on September 5, with the results to be announced soon after. Midlands Connect also plans to submit a business case to the Government in the coming weeks for improvements.
